Paid apps,
made free.

Krawa is a small team that rebuilds paywalled apps as free, open-source software. No subscriptions, no trials, no "pro" tier.

The apps

Each one replaces something you'd normally pay for. Every feature is on, for everyone.

    Free means free

No trial that runs out, no feature locked behind a plan, no ads between you and your work.

If it's in the app, you can use it. Today and next year.

    • All of that
    • No account
    • No ads

    Open source, all of it

Every app lives on GitHub under an open license. Development happens in public, from the first commit to each release.

Read it, build it yourself, fork it, or send a fix.

    Your stuff stays yours

No sign-up wall, no analytics, no telemetry. Your files stay on your device unless you move them.

Nothing to opt out of, because nothing is on to begin with.

    Questions

    Is it actually free?

Yes. No paid tier, no in-app purchases, no ads. Donations are optional and unlock nothing.

Do you crack the original apps?

No. Every Krawa app is written from scratch. We don't copy code, assets or names from the apps we replace, so everything we ship is ours to give away.

    What license do you use?

Each repo has a LICENSE file that says which one. We only use OSI-approved open-source licenses.

How do you pay for this?

We don't need much. Hosting is cheap and the work is done by volunteers. If you want to chip in, donating or sending code both help.

    Can I help?

Yes. Pick an open issue on GitHub, report bugs, translate an app, or suggest the next one to rebuild.
